Greg Monaco, Ph.D., Executive Director
Dr. Greg Monaco has held several positions with the Great Plains Network since August, 2000, when he joined GPN. He began as Research Collaboration Coordinator, and then was promoted to Director for Research and Education. Greg is currently the Executive Director of GPN. His resume is here.
Greg's priorities for the Great Plains Network consortium for FY2008-2009 are to
- Broaden participation in GPN research initiatives
- Increase number of multi-university proposals submitted,
- Increase number of funded proposals;
- Increase SHARED access to GPN member resources
- computing,
- data storage,
- other;
- Provide useful, consistent communication to members and interested parties through
- newsletter,
- workshops,
- technical and research reports, and
- annual meeting;
- Provide support on emerging technologies.

Dena Bunnel, Member Coordinator
Hi! I am in my second year at Kansas State University, majoring in Poltical Science and Agricultural Communications, with a secondary in International Relations. I have been working for the Great Plains Network since February of 2006.

Duncan Cunningham, Computer and Networking Assistant
I am an undergraduate student at Kansas State University, majoring in Computer Science. I am working under the supervision of Dr. Monaco. My responsibilities include working on projects for GPN, such as setting up a cluster, and administering Linux and FreeBSD servers for GPN.

Rahul Deshmukh, Graduate Research Assistant, Technical Consultant Emeritus
I am a graduate student in Kansas State University majoring in Computing and Information Sciences. I am working with Dr.Greg Monaco as a graduate research assistant. My area of interests are Grid Computing, .NET development. Currently I am working on authentication of GPN Wiki using Shibboleth as well as submitting a job on GPN Grid.
Gaurav Chauhan, Technical Consultant
I am doing Masters in Computing and Information sciences form Kansas state university. My research interests are in the field of Networking and Databases. Currently I am working on setting up of LDAP server on Linux platform.
Samuel Brinton, Undergraduate Assistant
I am a very involved freshman double majoring in Nuclear Engineering and Vocal Performance (I know it's a interesting combination). I am the Secretary of the Freshman Leadership Council, a soloist in the KSU Opera, and active member of the Smith Scholarship House where I live when I am not studying or singing.

I am a Junior in history focusing on the history and culture of the Medieval West; with specific interests in the Crusades, Piracy in the Mediterranean, Government, and Philosophy. Occasionally, I publish free-lance articles in "Renaissance Magazine."

I am a Sophomore at Kansas State University dual majoring in Public Relations and Pre-Nursing and minoring in Leadership Studies. I am an active member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and serve as the Jr. Alumni Relations Assistant.

Hi all, I am doing my master's in CIS from the Kansas State University. I am working for the Great Plains Network as the Newsletter Editor. I have even worked as the Editor of my college Newsletter during my Under graduation and love doing this job because it involves putting creativity and imagination into words.

Hello! I am a third year student at Kansas State studying Graphic Design. I am an active member of the Kansas State Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. I hope to go on to graduate school and acquire my MFA after completing my undergraduate degree.
